singlegirl's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Explanation This is just a quick note to answer some of the questions about the guy who killed my friend. A longer entry will be posted later today (I have good news - but, it's not an engagement). Asshole wasn't convicted of killing her, but of manslaughter or something of a lesser charge. After the car accident, he left her body for hours and didn't call the police for help. He flagged down a news paper delivery person and got a ride to a gas station. He used his cell phone several times to talk to his parents and fiance, but never mentioned the accident. He claims that something hit his windshield so that's why he went off the road, up a hill, excelerated and hit a wall. He claims that she was much alive during this accident even though she could have grabbed the wheel or something (they traveled off the road for several seconds - 10 maybe). He also claims that while he only suffered a bloody nose, she was wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries that killed her (her head was smashed in). This leads me to believe that he killed her and staged the accident. Plus, why was she out driving around at 3:30 in the morning on a Sunday night? She was a teacher and had to teach a 5th grade class the next day. She also was not drunk, but because several hours passed before he ever called the cops, they couldn't test him. Because there was no conclusive evidence, he got sentenced 2 years and is on probation for several years. At the time of her arrest, there was also a warrant out for his arrest for robbery. So yeah, he's an upstanding citizen. There's more to it and there's actually another theory out there (that supposedly came from a police officer on the scene), but out of respect for Susan, I'll keep it to myself (unless I told it in another entry, but I don't remember). All I can hope is that when the fucker left her body in the car, she was actually dead.
